Hi, I’m Steve. I’m the owner and creator of this blog. I’m now living in Sarasota, Florida with my amazing wife, Julianne, and my awesome daughter Allie. My immensely talented son, Adam, is a music performance major at Appalachian State University. He is a part-time resident here with us these days.
I have a lot of interests and hobbies, many of which I write about here. This is the third iteration of “Steve Blogs”. Here is the history: I get enthusiastic about the idea of blogging. I deploy a fresh new Linux server and install WordPress. I start publishing pages about random things I enjoy writing about. Gradually, I lose interest in updating the blog, and it goes dormant. After a while, I realize I’m wasting time and resources patching security vulnerabilities, backing up the web server, and consuming a public IP address. Then, I shutdown the server and it all goes away.
I’ve repeated this pattern twice so far, and this will be the third time. Will the result be any different? Do I have anything more interesting to write about now than the other two times I’ve started? Maybe yes, maybe no. It will be exciting to find out, right?
